Equis’ Roby Camagong recognised as one of Infrastructure Investor’s Rising Stars of 2025

InfrastructureInvestor has named Equis’ Head of Investments, Roby Camagong, to itsinternational Rising Stars Class of 2025, recognising his outstandingcontribution to renewable energy and infrastructure investment across theAsia-Pacific region. Roby is one of only 20 professionals globally to receivethe honour, and the first Filipino to appear on the list. He is also the onlyawardee based in Australia.

Nowin its third consecutive year, the Rising Stars list shines a light on emergingleaders that are shaping the future of global infrastructure. Candidates areselected based on industry impact, investment performance, innovation, andleadership potential.

Withmore than 13 years in private equity and infrastructure, Roby has established astrong record of establishing, developing, and delivering major renewableenergy infrastructure. At Equis, he has contributed to eight diversifiedinfrastructure platforms across six funds and a corporate development vehicle,participated in high-profile transactions totalling more than US$3.7 billionand 5.3 GW of generating capacity.

In 2018, Roby led the development, capital raising, asset management and strategicdivestment of the largest solar and wind portfolio in the Philippines andSoutheast Asia, helping to reinforce Equis’ position as a leading developer oflarge-scale clean-energy assets in emerging markets.

Hisfundraising experience includes contributing to the successful US$1.25 billionraise for Equis’ corporate development vehicle in 2020, which allowed Equis toaccelerate more renewable energy development across the region.

Mostrecently, Roby co-founded Equis’ battery energy storage (BESS) platform inAustralia in 2022. In less than three years, the platform has grown to a 4.4 GWportfolio, including 2.1 GWh of storage capacity currently in operation orunder construction. As of 2025, it has attracted more than US$1 billion ininvestment and is now one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing BESSplatforms.
